Police today found an infant abandoned near the Colombo Fort Railway Station.
The infant– believed to be around 5 months old- was rescued by officers, acting on information received by the police emergency hotline service.
The baby girl has been admitted to the Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children in Colombo while Fort Police are conducting investigations, to track down and locate the parents.
