Anamaduwa UNP PS member hands himself over to police

Anamaduwa UNP Pradeshiya Sabha member Anuksha Priyadharshana, who is accused of assaulting a hospital worker, handed himself over to the Pallama police this evening (July 6).
The PS member allegedly assaulted Chandika Amal Mayadunna, a worker at the Pallama hospital, on the evening of July 4 in the Pallama town while the victim was reported to have received treatment from the Puttalama base hospital.
Police also arrested two others involved in the assault.
It was revealed that the victim was the brother of former UPFA member of the North Western Provincial Council Amal Chinthaka.
The PS member who stands accused will be presented before the Puttalam court tomorrow (July 7).
