Nominations to be accepted from Jul 25 - Aug 1

Nominations for Northern, North Western and Central Provincial Councils elections will be accepted from July 25 to August 01, the Elections Commissioner Mahinda Deshapriya said.
The Gazette notification for this has been issued while the election is expected to be held within 5-8 weeks from the final nominations date.
Several major political parties have already commenced activities pertaining to their election campaigns, with the announcing of the polls for Central and North Western Provinces.
