Strong winds expected to continue over the country

The Department of Meteorology says that fairly strong winds are expected to continue over the country, particularly along the western slopes of the central hills.
Several spells of showers or thundershowers will occur in the Central, Sabaragamuwa, Western and Southern provinces. Showers may extend to North-Western province too, it said.
Thundershowers are likely at a few places in the Eastern and Uva, provinces during the afternoon or evening, the Met Department said.
