Proteas stun Sri Lanka to win by 12 runs

South Africa stunned top ranked Sri Lanka to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match T20 series at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Friday night.
The tourists, restricted to 115-6 after electing to bat first, stopped Sri Lanka at 103-9.
An allround performance by Jean-Paul Duminy with 51 runs and three wickets steered South Africa to a 12-run win over Sri Lanka in the first Twenty20 international.
Duminy stood out with the ball, taking 3-18 including two wickets in successive balls to help his team defend a modest score.
Kumar Sangakkara scored 59 not out but except for opener Kusal Perera, the other batsmen failed to reach double figures.
The second and third matches will be played in Hambantota on Sunday and Tuesday.
