17-year-old killed following collision with a van

A 17-year-old teenager was killed while riding a motorcycle after being struck by a van on the Pottuvil-Panama road in the Arugambay area last evening (August 15), police stated.

 

The teenager was injured in the incident and was rushed to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

 

The victim was a resident of the Kaikapara area in Pottuvil.

 

The driver of the van was taken into custody following the event while he will be presented to the Pottuvil Magistrate Court today (16).
