The separatist statements made by the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) have increased noticeably following the visit of UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Navineetham Pillay, Media Spokesman of the National Freedom Front (NFF), Mohammed Muzammil stated.

Speaking at a press conference today (September 4), he claimed that TNA candidate C. Vigneshwaram had stated that the LTTE was not a terrorist organization and that Prabhakaran was not a terrorist but a hero to him and the Tamil people.

He questioned Vigneshwaram’s commitment to upholding the authority of the law with regards to this statement.

Muzammil said that the LTTE used to operate with arms and international power where as now it operates through politics and international power.

He also opposed the SLMC’s decision to aid Navi Pillay as he claimed that she was not an unbiased and independent authority.
