One killed, 15 injured in 3-vehicle accident

One person died and another 15 were wounded following a multiple vehicle collision on the A9 road in Alimankada.
A private bus traveling towards Jaffna from Vavuniya had collided with an army tractor and another Jaffna-bound bus last night, police said.
The driver of the tractor, a soldier attached to the Punarin army camp, has been identified as the deceased while the injured persons have been admitted to the Kilinochchi Hospital.
The driver of the private bus has been arrested in connection with the incident. Kilinochchi Police are conducting further investigations.
