Former Army Major accused of transporting marijuana further remanded

The former Army Major who was arrested while transporting a stock of marijuana in a luxury vehicle from Thanamalwila to Anuradhapura was further remanded by the Anuradhapura Magistrate Court.

 

The court ordered police to further remand the former Major and another accomplice until October 11.

 

The police told Court today that the two suspects had been involved in transporting marijuana from Thanamalwila and distributing it in Anuradhapura for a long period of time.
