Wildlife Conservation officer arrested over sexual bribe

An assistant field officer of the Wildlife Conservation Department has been arrested in Bibila by the Bribery Commission on charges of attempting to solicit a sexual bribe from a woman in the area.
The officer had allegedly requested the sexual bribe in order to refrain from taking legal action against her husband who had carried out cultivations illegally in a government-owned land.
The Wildlife Conservation officer was arrested by officers of the Commissioned to Investigate Allegations of Corruption or Bribery when he had visited the woman’s residence to solicit the sexual bribe.
He was remanded until October 24 after being produced at the Bibila Magistrate’s Court.
