Four held over armed robberies

Four suspects involved in several robberies of cash and valuable items, by threatening people with firearms, have been arrested by police.
Katupotha Police said that two suspects were initially apprehended by officers who searched a motorcycle which had violated traffic laws.
A firearm and several ammunition were found in their possession.
Following the interrogation of the suspects they had revealed information regarding robberies carried out by them in Narammala and Wariyapola areas.
Two more suspects involved in these crimes have been arrested by police following investigations.
All arrested suspects are to be produced at the Kuliyapitiya Magistrate’s Court.
