
Sri Lankans are not ready to submit to any form of invasion, President Mahinda Rajapaksa said today. He added that Sri Lanka is a nation that values freedom and independence.
He made this comment at the event to unveil a statue of former Vietnamese President Ho Chi Minh at the Colombo Public Library. The occasion was graced by the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam Pham Binh Minh.
President also stated that it is very timely to unveil a statue of Ho Chi Minh who undertook a great struggle against imperialism in Sri Lanka.
