Immigration authorities have deported Sri Lankan born Norwegian Tamil poet and actor V.I.S. Jeyapalan last night, Immigration Controller Chulananda Perera told Ada Derana. Police earlier arrested Jeyapalan for violating visa regulations, and was detained at the Mirihana detention center.
Jeyapalan who had arrived in the country on tourist visa, had violated visa regulations by holding seminars in Jaffna, according to Police.
