Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) announced this afternoon (15) that opening batsman Pathum Nissanka will miss the upcoming tri-series ODI tournament in Pakistan due to injury.
Nissanka sustained an injury to his left thigh during Sri Lanka’s recent tour of England and has yet to receive medical clearance to return to competitive cricket.
As a result, Lahiru Udara has been named as his replacement in Sri Lanka’s ODI squad.
The tri-series, featuring Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and England, is scheduled to commence on the 18th, with Sri Lanka set to face Pakistan in the opening match.
