Ambatale Water Treatment Plant resumes operations
Operations at the Ambatale Water Treatment Plant have resumed following the restoration of electricity supply, the National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) said.
Accordingly, the NWSDB stated that water distribution from the plant had also recommenced.
Operations at the Ambatale Water Treatment Plant were disrupted earlier today (17) due to the sudden power outage that affected several parts of the country.
As a result, the NWSDB had temporarily suspended operations at the facility.
