Final rites of Ven. Kappetiyagoda Sirivimala Thera on October 21
The cremation ceremony of the late Most Venerable Kappetiyagoda Sirivimala Thera has been scheduled for 4.00 p.m. on October 21 (Wednesday) at the Getambe Urban Grounds in Kandy, according to the funeral committee.
The Most Venerable Thera, who had been suffering from an illness over a period of time, passed away this morning (18) while receiving treatment at a private hospital in Kandy.
Venerable Kappetiyagoda Sirivimala Thera was the Deputy Chief Prelate of the Ramanna Sect and Chief Incumbent of the Getambe Rajopavanaramaya in Kandy.
He was 96 years old at the time of his passing.
