The Fantasy Bra, aka Victoria's Secret's crown jewel, made a glittering appearance during the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show on Sunday, Oct. 18, after taking an eight-year hiatus.
Kylie Jenner surprised the crowd, wearing the one-of-a-kind bra, created in partnership with luxury high jewelry brand Jacob & Co. This year's intricate diamond design was valued at $50 million, making it the most expensive Fantasy Bra of all time. The diamond-encrusted bra, made up of 4,410 natural diamonds, bringing the total weight to 1,373.39 carats, was also adorned with drop-diamond fringe that dripped down from the edge of the bust and a singular 75.54-carat Natural Fancy Vivid Yellow diamond in the center.
Jenner styled the history-making piece with fluffy white wings and an all-white underwear set for a sparkling spectacle that made for one of the night's best moments.
The KHY founder was also supported by loved ones in the audience as her mom, Kris Jenner, and boyfriend, Timothée Chalamet, were spotted cheering her on from the front row.
Originally crafted in 1996 and first worn by Claudia Schiffer, the famed diamond bra was last created for the 2018 VS Fashion Show. Worn by Elsa Hosk, the "Dream Angels Fantasy Bra" was designed by Swarovski and encrusted with 21,000 diamonds.
Over the years, the iconic bra, which often comes with a $1 million-plus price tag, has been worn by famous Angels such as Tyra Banks, Heidi Klum, Adriana Lima, Karolina Kurkova, Miranda Kerr and Jasmine Tookes, to name a few. But it was Gisele Bündchen who in 2000 famously sported "The Heavenly Star Bra," the most expensive diamond design, worth a record-breaking $15 million.
In a series of teaser videos ahead of Sunday's show, the brand announced that the intricate diamond piece would be making a comeback. But who would wear the coveted piece was kept under wraps. Online users were quick to share their opinions on which angel they'd pick, commenting on the Victoria's Secret clips.
"One of the OG angels should wear it," one user said.
"Adriana! Or Candice! Or I am crying," another commented.
"I want it to be Candice but I have a feeling it'll be the new angle/winner of the competition," one Instagram user expressed.
Others simply praised the bra's comeback, saying, “We used to pray for times like this... the crown jewel of VS!”
Following the show, Jenner posted a series of behind-the-scenes photos of herself getting ready for her big runway, including one close-up photo of the diamond bra where she wrote, "Best day ever."
