Holiday resort owner murdered in Trincomalee
A holiday resort owner has been murdered by an unidentified individual or group at the 4th Mile Junction in Trincomalee, police stated.
The murder took place last night (20), and police have launched an investigation following a report received by the Trincomalee Police that the victim had been killed by having his throat slit.
The deceased has been identified as a 56-year-old resident of the Singapura area in Trincomalee.
Preliminary investigations have revealed that the murder may have been committed by one or more individuals while the victim was alone at the holiday resort.
The motive for the murder has not yet been established.
Trincomalee Police are conducting further investigations to identify and apprehend the suspects.
