Litro Gas Lanka has announced plans to distribute 700,000 gas cylinders across the island by October 27, as the company steps up deliveries to meet rising market demand.
In a statement, the company said that, in addition to a shipment that arrived on October 22, a vessel named GOODWIL brought a further 3,900 metric tonnes of gas to Sri Lanka yesterday (October 24), taking into account the high demand in the market and consumer requirements.
Another gas shipment is scheduled to arrive in the country tomorrow (October 26), the company added.
Litro Gas further stated that 350,000 gas cylinders from the 3,900-metric-tonne shipment that arrived on October 22 are being distributed continuously on October 23, 24 and today (October 25).
The company said these deliveries are part of its efforts to strengthen distribution and ensure an adequate supply of domestic gas.
According to Litro Gas, consumers should be able to purchase domestic gas from the market without shortages over the coming days.
