Court orders Bribery Commission to respond to Namal Rajapaksa’s bail application tomorrow

The Colombo Magistrate’s Court has directed the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) to present its submissions tomorrow (28) regarding the bail application filed on behalf of Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa, who is currently in remand custody over the controversial Krrish deal.

President’s Counsel Ali Sabry, appearing on behalf of MP Rajapaksa, filed a motion seeking bail, according to an Ada Derana correspondent.

The Bribery Commission subsequently requested additional time to present its submissions on the bail application.
Following the request, the Magistrate ordered the Commission to present its submissions tomorrow (28).
