President pays final respects to late senior attorney Lal Wijenayake

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has paid his final respects to veteran left-wing political activist and senior lawyer Lal Wijenayake, an Executive Committee member of the National People's Power (NPP), who passed away yesterday (31).

President Dissanayake visited a private funeral parlour in Kandy this afternoon (November 1), where the late lawyer's remains are lying, to pay his last respects and extend his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.

Central Province Governor Dr. Harsha Suranga and Deputy Minister Prasanna Gunasena were also present on the occasion.
