The Court of Appeal today (05) directed the Attorney General to examine the possibility of allowing alleged drug trafficker Shiran Basik, who is currently in custody, access to meals provided from home and meetings with his lawyers, and to report back to court.
The directive was issued when a petition challenging Shiran Basik’s detention was taken up for hearing today, Ada Derana reporter said.
Shiran Basik is currently being detained and questioned under a detention order issued by the Police Central Crime Investigation Bureau (CCIB).
