Fallen tree disrupts traffic on Colombo–Ratnapura main road
Traffic movement along the Colombo–Ratnapura main road has been severely disrupted following the collapse of a large tree onto the roadway in the Madola area of Avissawella.
The incident occurred today (08), temporarily bringing traffic in one direction to a standstill and causing considerable inconvenience to motorists and commuters.
Area residents have joined efforts to remove the fallen tree from the roadway, while steps are being taken to restore normal traffic movement as soon as possible.
