
Two persons who allegedly sold property using fake deeds were arrested by the police following a complaint made by resident of Kollupitiya.
The complaint was made by a resident of the area concerning a fraudulent land sale worth Rs.2.2 million.
Police reported that the two suspects were arrested following an investigation conducted by the Colombo Crimes Division.
The suspects were residents of Ragama and Polgasovita, police stated while they were presented to the Kesbewa Magistrate Court. The suspects were remanded by the court until January 8.
