
President Mahinda Rajapaksa will leave Palestine and visit Israel today (January 8), the President’s Coordinating Secretary, Wijeyananda Herath stated.
The President met with the business community of Palestine yesterday where he stated that several economic sectors in Sri Lanka had improved after the end of the war in 2009.
He invited the business community of Palestine to visit Sri Lanka to observe the service and communication technology within the country.
The Palestinian Prime Minister claimed that the President’s visit helped strengthen ties between the two nations.
