One dead, 2 injured after fishermen clash mid-sea

One fisherman was killed and another two were wounded after they were involved in a clash onboard a trawler in the deep sea area off Nilwella in Dikwella.
Two fishermen onboard the boat at the time of the attack had managed to escape by jumping into the sea and returning to land in another boat.
The deceased has been identified as a 49-year-old resident of Nilwella while the two wounded men are being treated at the Dikwella Batheegama Hospital.
The suspect responsible for the murder has not been arrested yet while Dikwella Police are conducting investigations.
