Man shot dead in Thummodara; villagers nab suspect

A person was shot and killed by two gunmen in a motorcycle on the Thummodara area in Matara.
One of the suspects, attempting to flee after the shooting, was caught by residents in the area and handed over to police.
Police said a revolver, a 9mm pistol and 5 bullets were found in the possession of the suspect, a resident of Kaduwela.
Preliminary inquiries have revealed that the murder was committed over a financial dispute.
Police are conducting investigations to apprehend the other suspect.
