Murder suspect shot dead in Katunayake

A persons was shot and killed by an unknown gunman at Rice Mill Road in Katunayake this morning, police said.
The victim, who is an accused in a murder case, was returning home after appearing before the police, to place his signature with regard to the case, when he had been gunned down.
Katunayake Police said the shooting occurred at around 10.00am today.
The victim is a 40-year-old Tamil man who owns a jewelry store.
Katunayake Police are conducting investigations.
