The Police Headquarters says that a total of forty-seven Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs), who were promoted from the post of Chief Inspector, have been transferred with effect from April 15.
Accordingly the transfers have been ordered on ASPs from Batticaloa, Panadura, Polonnaruwa, Colombo, Ratnapura, Nugegoda, Monaragala, Kalutara, Kandy, Mannar, Gampaha, Negombo, Ampara, Kelaniya, Mt. Lavinia, Kegalle, Seethawakapura, Elpitiya, Jaffna, Matara, Puttalam, Kurunegala, Ratnapura, Kantale, Nuwara Eliya, Hatton, Bandarawela, Anuradhapura, Chilaw, Mankulam and Tangalle police divisions.
In addition to this ASPs of the Environmental Protection Division, Terrorism Investigation Divisions Colombo South, Colombo North, Criminal Investigations Division, Ministerial Security Division, Special Bureau, Narcotics Bureau and Special Investigations Unit have also been given transfers.
