Mervyn Silva is better than Hakeem, Wimal, Dilan and Wasu because he is a good Sinhalese Buddhist leader with a proper Buddhist background, General Secretary of the Bodu Bala Sena (BBS) organization Galaboda Aththe Gnanasara Thero said today.
He added that the latter were the kind of people who were giving wrongful information about the BBS to the international community. The Thero challenged these individuals to an open debate.
Addressing a press conference in Kirulapone today Gnanasara Thero claimed that by way of associating Burmese monk Ashin Wirathu if the BBS could be labeled terrorists then Norway, USA and even Ban Ki Moon should be labeled terrorists for meeting with the slain LTTE leader Velupillai Prabakaran.
Speaking at the same gathering the CEO of BBS, Dilanthe Withanage stated that it has been the dream of many who are against Buddhism to paste the ‘terrorist’ label on the BBS. He reminded that A.J.M. Muzzamil was present at the opening ceremony of the BBS office in Colombo.
