VIDEO: Racial hatred incited at BBS rally in Aluthgama – Ranil

Racial hatred was incited due to the speeches made at the Bodu Bala Sena rally on June 15 in Aluthgama, UNP Leader Ranil Wickremasighe today said in a special statement to parliament. He added that without quelling a situation like that the government has created an atmosphere in which racial hatred is provoked.

 

However the same government which quickly put a stop to protest marches of University students by obtaining court orders failed to do so in Aluthgama, Ranil added. He alleged that the government is silently letting certain individuals take the law into their own hands.
