VIDEO: Three injured after train compartments derail in Bambalapitiya

Two compartments of a Colombo Fort-bound train derailed near the Bambalapitiya railway station this evening injuring at least 3 persons, Police spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana said.


He stated that the wounded passengers have been hospitalized.


The Railway Control Room stated that 2 compartments of a train arriving from Matara had derailed and that this has caused a delay in train services on the coastal line.
