Now, at the end of the second weekend, Happy New Year has a total of 183 cr nett plus and the film has to score 38 cr nett in week two. The film is predicted to cross 40 cr nett in this week as there is a holiday for Muharram on Tuesday.

He further said the Shah Rukh Khan starrer has opened big and became the first highest opening Bollywood film in Gulf region, South Africa, Malaysia and Sri Lanka and became the 2nd highest opening Bollywood film in New Zealand, Pakistan and Fiji.

The movie is yet to open in key markets like Philippines, Egypt, Germany, Peru, Nigeria, West Indies and Morocco. Happy New Year is expected to do well in those circuits too.
