Sajith didn’t even seek probe into father’s death – Felix
Mobitel Inner

Minister of Social Services Felix Perera today said that even though UNP Parliamentarian Sajith Premadasa is vying to contest the Presidential Election, he has not even held a Ministerial portfolio in his lifetime.

He also alleged that the Hambantota District MP, who didn’t even push for a formal inquiry into the death of his father, had the site of the suicide blast washed and cleaned within an hour.

Perera stated that if someone like him had to undergo such a situation of losing one’s father the grief would be unbearable and that he would push for an investigation in order to punish those responsible.

The Minister made these comments during the opening ceremony of an operations office for the Presidential Election in Tudella, Ja-Ela this morning.

Perera also targeted the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) in his speech, charging that the Marxist party did not show any interest in seeking justice for the murder of their founding leader Rohana Wijeweera or to punish his murderers.

The former Fisheries Minister further said that he has held numerous Ministerial portfolios when he represented the ruling party and that, however, he was never a “cut-throat” for Rs 25,000.
