Up-country trains cancelled due to weather

Sri Lanka Railways today said that all up-country train services including the Colombo-Kandy, Badulla and Matale-bound trains have been cancelled due to the prevailing severe weather condition.

Several locations along the up-country railway line have reportedly obstructed due to flooding and landslides.

Due to this situation the railway control room was prompted to cancel the Badulla-bound ‘Podi Manike’ train and the intercity express train which were scheduled to leave the Colombo Fort Railway Station this morning.
