Four arrested over attack on Maithripala’s supporters

Four suspects have been arrested in connection with the attack on three supporters of Common Candidate Maithripala Sirisena and the damaging of an election office in the Nidangala area in Mahiyanganaya, police said.
The suspects were arrested by Mahiyanganaya Police while the persons injured in the attack, which took place on Sunday, are currently receiving treatment at the Mahiyanganaya Hospital.
The arrested suspects have been remanded till January 06 after being produced at the Mahiyanganaya Magistrate’s Court.
