Three persons drowned while another 3 have been hospitalised after a boat capsized this morning in the sea area off Kinniya, Trincomalee.
Police said a total of 8 persons were onboard the boat at the time of the incident and that 3 rescued persons have been admitted to the Kinniya Hospital for treatment.
Kinniya Police is conducting an investigation.
