The Ratnapura High Court, this morning, sentenced three persons to death found guilty of murdering a 10-year boy, as a sacrifice in search of hidden treasure.
The judgment was delivered when the case was taken up for hearing before High Court Judge Achala Wengappuli.
The accused had been indicted on charges of murdering the child in Kaltota area in Balangoda in 2006, as a sacrifice in a bid to locate the hidden treasure.
