30,000 metric tons of substandard diesel rejected

State Minister of Power and Energy Palitha Range Bandara says that a consignment of 30,000 metric tons of substandard diesel imported to the country has been rejected and sent back to the supplier.
He stated that the shipment of diesel which had been imported from a Singaporean company was turned back yesterday (16) after officials of the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) conducted tests and conformed it was substandard.
