The ambiance is set for the arrival of Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena in Pakistan tomorrow (April 06).
The President is scheduled to arrive at the Jinnah International Airport in Karachi on Sunday evening and thereafter he is scheduled to be flown from Karachi to Islamabad in a special charter plane by the Pakistani government.
The president is scheduled to receive a guard of honour at the Islamabad International Airport.
The government of Pakistan is awaiting his arrival while the leading Pakistan dailies have carried articles on the visit.
Meanwhile the President is scheduled to have bilateral discussions with the Pakistani President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
The President will also have discussions with the Pakistan Defense Minister Khawaja Mohammad Asif. Ada Derana learns that several agreements between Sri Lanka and Pakistan is also to be signed during the president’s visit.
Meanwhile the two leaders are expected to deliver special statements before the conclusion of the state visit.
