Bus strike on Mattakkuliya- Soysapura route

Private bus drivers operating on the Mattakkuliya- Soysapura bus route have resorted to a strike action since this morning (14), President of the Lanka Private Bus Owners Association Gemunu Wijerathne said.


Wijerathne told Ada Derana that the bus drivers have decided to resort to the trade union action following the inaction of the police to arrest an individual who allegedly assaulted a bus driver last afternoon (13).
