The National Freedom Front (NFF) on Sunday (31) charged that the country’s culture and norms are in jeopardy with the new Government’s decision to vote in favour of homosexuality at the United Nations budget committee.

The observation was made by Spokesperson for the NFF, Muhammad Muzammil, at a press conference held in Colombo.

“According to my knowledge, homosexuality is prohibited by law in Sri Lanka. We need to get disclosure on whose instruction this decision was taken,” he added.

He also went in to say that Sri Lanka was the only South Asian country to vote in favour of this resolution.
