An individual has been arrested for possessing a 1 million dollar counterfeit bill in Welikada, Rajagiriya, the police said.
Acting on a tipoff, a patrolling team from the police Special Task Force (STF) has apprehended the suspect, last evening (1).
The suspect, who is a resident of Vavuniya, will be produced before the Colombo Magistrate, today (2).
