BBS to contest with the symbol of Cobra

The Bodu Bala Sena (BBS) organization on Monday (29) announced that it will contest at the forthcoming general election under the Bodu Jana Peramuna (BJP) ticket with the symbol of cobra.
BBS Chief Executive Officer Dilantha Vithanage told Ada Derana that the BBS has also requested the BJP to change its existing symbol from pen to cobra.
Election Chief Mahinda Deshapriya said that the BJP, through a letter, has requested the Election Department to make arrangements to change the party’s symbol. “We will consider this request. Then will get a decision,” he added.
