UPFA wins Monaragala District

The United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) has secured a victory in the Monaragala electoral district by a narrow margin and won three seats in the district.


The UPFA received 138,136 votes (52.53%) while the UNP with 110,372 (41.97%) votes secured two seats.
