A woman was killed following a shooting carried out by two unidentified gunmen on a motorcycle at Jampettah Street in Kotahena this evening.
Police said that the shooting occurred at around 5.45pm today and that neither the identity of the suspects nor the reason for the murder have been uncovered so far.
However, the victim’s husband is an accused in a murder case and is currently in custody, police said.
