Six more persons have been arrested in connection with the murder of the nightclub owner in Anuradhapura, the Police Spokesperson says.

Earlier today, six out of eight suspects, who had been arrested in connection with the murder of the Karate champion, were remanded till November 09 by the Anuradhapura Magistrate.

A group of about 20 masked men who entered the night club had killed its owner by assaulting him with clubs and sharp objects.

The 57-year-old victim succumbed to his injuries after admitting to the Anuradhapura Teaching hospital. Three employees at the night club have also been admitted to the same hospital, following the attack.
