Vehicle belonging to MR’s security detail collides with bike, two injured

A motorcyclist and a pillion rider were injured and hospitalized after their motorbike collided with a vehicle attached to the security detail of the former President, a short while ago on Sunday (01) afternoon, the police say.

 


The accident had taken place near the Pitigala junction, the Police Spokesperson said.

 


The injured persons, who sustained non-life threatening injuries, have been admitted to the Elpitiya Base hospital for treatments. The driver will be produced before the Ambalangoda Magistrate, today.
