Armour war heroes memorial park opened

Coinciding with the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations of Sri Lanka Armoured Corps (SLAC), the ‘Armour War Heroes Memorial Park’ was declared opened, paying tributes to fallen SLAC War Heroes at the Kalattewa Army Camp premises.

 
The construction of this War Memorial Park began in the month of July at the Kalettewa Army Camp premises under the directions of Major General Milinda Peiris, Colonel Commandant, SLAC in memory of the 443 fallen SLAC War Heroes.


General Rohan Daluwatte, Major General Jagath Dias, Chief of Staff and several senior officers, placed floral wreaths and paid their tribute to those fallen martyrs as next of kin and children of the departed afterwards followed suit in memory of their beloved ones. Other SLAC Senior Officers, officers and others followed the respect in succession.
