Govt gives undertaking to provide clinical training for SAITM students

The Ministry of Health today gave an undertaking to the Supreme Court to provide clinical training to the students of the Private Medical College in Malabe at the Avissawella Base Hospital and the Kaduwela MOH.
Representatives of the ministry appearing before the court gave the undertaking when a Fundamental Rights (FR) petition filed by a group of student of the South Asian Institute of Technology and Medicine (SAITM) was taken up today.
Therefore SAITM students are to be provided clinical training with regard to forensic medicine and community medicine at the Avissawella Base Hospital and the Kaduwela MOH.
